We are introduced to the Abbotsford Anglers Cricket Club in the lush surrounds of suburban Melbourne as their Indian tour becomes an imminent and exciting reality. In a fairytale start to the story, the Anglers win the club’s very first Premiership flag, crushing a depleted Mont Albert side on a wet and windy day in the March. At midnight on the night of the Grand Final celebrations, the candy-striped crew of newly crowned champions crawls out of a bar, onto a plane and into the unknown. Bring on India!
